Built by practitioners, for practitioners.
HerbalClient is built by Effect Wellness Inc., a Canadian software company based in Alberta. We are not a generic SaaS vendor adapting someone else's product for healthcare. Every workflow in the platform — scheduling, charting, care plans, follow-up, billing — was shaped by direct clinical experience in multi-disciplinary practice.
The platform we wished existed.
Effect Wellness started with a straightforward observation: the tools available to health practitioners are either built for medicine (too rigid for the way wellness professionals actually practice) or built for generic business (no understanding of clinical workflows, health records, or compliance). We set out to build one platform that serves multiple disciplines — starting with nutrition — with workflows that match how practitioners actually work. Not how a product manager imagines they work.
The team behind Effect Wellness includes a practicing massage therapist with multi-disciplinary clinic experience. That clinical perspective informs every design decision: what fields belong on an intake form, how a care plan flows from assessment to delivery, when a reminder is helpful versus intrusive.
One platform, seven disciplines.
HerbalClient is the first vertical launching on the Effect Wellness platform. The same architecture — shared scheduling, billing, messaging, and compliance infrastructure — will power dedicated products for each discipline. Each product speaks its own clinical language while sharing the plumbing that every practice needs.
Principles, not slogans.
Our compliance pages tell you what's built and what isn't. Our privacy policy discloses where your data actually lives today. If something isn't ready, we say so.
Features are designed around how practitioners actually work in sessions — not around database tables or marketing checklists. Every page in the product maps to a real step in real care delivery.
Row-level security, encrypted storage, role-based access, and audit logging are not add-ons. They are baked into the data model from day one.
Effect Wellness is a small company. We ship fast, we answer emails, and we fix things quickly when they break.
